Magic is a mysterious power that slumbers in all living beings. If it gets out of balance, if it leaves its place, it is up to the trolls to catch the magic, to keep it and to bring it back. That is their purpose, their purpose. Violet is a young musician and wants to travel the world to find her place - and she is a troll, a treasurer. Her fate crosses with that of a bird, a mechanic and a snake.
