Modernday Japan. On an ordinary afternoon, a shorthaired high school girl named Yui spots a mysterious glowing paper plane floating above a utility pole in a quiet neighborhood. The moment she touches it, a strange mark appears on her hand. Soon, others who bear similar marks begin to emerge. Together with her childhood friend Haru, Yui is drawn to a hidden shrine where a gate to another realm awaits.
