Akmola, Kazakhstan, 1932. Forced collectivisation of agriculture by the Soviet Union took place, dismantling the traditional ways of nomadism the Kazakhs followed. Kundyz Yakovleva and her father work as crop farmers for an anti-collectivisation resistance against the Soviets. One evening, Kundyz finds out that her father's detained by the NKVD and reluctantly begins working as a spy for the resistance. What adventures await her as she saves her father with the help of the resistance?
