Austin Matthews can’t grow hair and has been bullied his whole life. After his toupee is exposed, he drops out of school. Years later, after his mother dies, he returns to finish high school. Things improve—until a classmate recognizes him and threatens to reveal his secret unless he becomes her servant. Terrified of the bullying returning, Austin agrees, believing servitude is better than the truth coming out. At least so he thought!
