Kerrin, commonly known as the night raven, fights demons and clears pollutions in the land with her raven Vin. She finds Malachi, a human knight, dying from pollution. In a one in a million chance he survives leaving them both confused. They decide to work together to unravel the mystery of the pollution and demons as it gets worse.
