Bobby and Teddy form an unlikely trio when shy newcomer, Salt joins their lives and experiences a chaotic 8th Grade with them. Bobby, the class clown, attempts to win over his crush, Nella, while Teddy seeks popularity by throwing parties. Although Salt's pure intentions clash with the drama stirred by Nella to sabotage his love for her best friend Lotus, the three friends learn to survive the challenges of adolescence in middle school together before growing up and moving on to High School.
