Robert Owens is a middle aged plumber used to helping others. When his father passes away, he naturally tries helping his elderly mother cope. Despite his best efforts, Muriel Owens finds it hard to adjust, suffering through panic attacks and bouts of despair. The only thing that sustains her is painting landscapes. When Robert finds one of Muriel's long lost paintings, he uncovers a secret about her past; a secret that he is determined to piece together and help his mother get better.
