Draven Nightshade, living a mundane life in Tokyo, is suddenly transported to another realm by a portal. He meets Zephyris, the god of winds and fate, who reveals that Draven's death was a mistake. Zephyris offers Draven a new life in a magical world with extraordinary powers. Draven accepts and is reborn, now more powerful with a silver streak in his hair.
