A rambunctious kid with a lot of academic potential goes to university young and has to leave his best friend behind and move over east. Once he comes back 6 years later he seems like a completely different person, his closest friend before his move is conflicted between getting back in touch and is worried about opening old wounds from how their friendship ended. (This is a story that takes place in Australia, WA and goes between both the main character's perspectives)
