Darcy Roberts grew up hearing her grandmother's tales of magical beings, those that would offer up a single wish to whoever spoke their name. However, after a successful attempt at summoning one of these 'Helpers', Darcy quickly discovers that there might've been more to these stories than she was initially led to be. Especially when what appears isn't some benevolent being of pure magic, but a grumpy demon boy that wants nothing less than to be back home instead...
