The kingdom of Carthya, having recently lost their ruling family, is on the verge of war. Carthya is not only being threatened by neighboring kingdoms, but by internal conflicts within the court. Conner, a nobleman, trains four orphan boys, including Sage, to play the role of the lost prince of Carthya in hopes of saving the kingdom. Sage has doubts about Connor’s true intentions but he knows his life depends on becoming the false prince. (Based on Jennifer A. Nielsen’s Ascendence series)
