Master Melayse mei’Castelli has returned from the Northern Vasts campaigns against the brooded beasts on Scriptorium's orders, but must instead fight for her life and those of the good people of Whitehall under attack by mysterious forces. She soon realizes that a much larger threat looms ahead, she must gather her few allies and face them.
