Buttons, a blue budgerigar, gets rescued by a lady named Maya after surviving an abusive household for over a year. She becomes close to the other birds in the aviary, but no relationship with any of them will make up for the loss of the girl she grew up with. Being across the country from someone who bonded with you is tough for a little bird.
