Jake is a repressed idiot that won't be bothered to make friends. Casey is the ghost that Jake accidentally disturbs when he kicks Casey's "gravestone" in anger. Jake now has to listen to the constant babbling of Casey because A) He won't leave Jake alone and B) (Though he will never admit this to himself) He's a little bit lonely.
