After the Last Great War, humanity survives inside sealed city-states run by artificial intelligence. Every need is provided—except choice. Citizens are raised by machines and assigned roles based on the city’s needs, not desire. Beyond the walls lies a lawless desert world. When one boy begins to question the life chosen for him, he must decide whether to remain safe inside the system or step beyond it and claim a future he was never meant to choose.
