I hope it was sorta clear that the string does have properties in which each involved has an altered state of mind at times. kind of like hormones being whacky when on your period, or buzzed after drinking. Still conscious and aware of actions. It's an evolutional thing to calm partners during the development of a connection. Happened slightly in Tied in red if you look for it.
