It's November 1988. Pete Leafe, a sweet, metalhead dork, walks into a bar where he meets the love of his life, a beautiful girl named Nora Bird who's afraid to get her heart broken (again). Nora gives Pete her number, but an unlucky turn ends up in her number being destroyed. With the help of his cousin River and best friend Z, now Pete has to scramble to find Nora and prove to her that he is nothing like the other dudes who let her down before meeting him (Like Cinderella, but make it ~metal~)
