An overeager engineer and unsociable pilot begin their two year residency aboard the STARCREST, a cargo ship travelling across the reaches of charted space, through areas frought with danger and piracy. Finding themselves entrenched in an unfamiliar world, Amaani and Perrine struggle to adjust to their new positions, and discover that the conflicts they face run deeper than personal.
