Stevie's convenience store job isn't great - its worth it for the pay. He might decide otherwise when a certain customer becomes an oddly-behaved regular and makes him feel like he's losing his mind. No one else is seeing or hearing this friendly stranger, Everett, but he doesn't know if he can stand to give him a chance to figure out what's going on. He might rather choose his boring old life.
