After waking up in a hospital, Aaron Rowan has lost his memories. But he receives a letter in which someone offers to give them back if he agrees to work for them. That work apparently involves "getting rid" of certain people - soul shifters. Hesitantly he accepts, but gets dragged into something much deeper. Will he be able to regain his memories and find the little girl he still vaguely remembers? And what does he have to do with the Hemmingway massacre from centuries ago?
