Hyperfixationing

I illustrated this Holmes narration back in spring 2024! The story The Empty House fascinated me, because the narration style was so… tonally discordant. Oddly lighthearted, detached from the emotions of what’s happening. Holmes’s account of his Reichenbach ordeal is no exception. I LOVED the metatextual implication that Watson & Holmes are avoiding the real feelings underneath. So I drew them.
