~September 1690~ Deep in a small pilgrim village, women and children are being hung and burned at the accusation of witchcraft. Among those who are killed is Margaret Faulkner, who is a true witch. Her niece, Agnes Faulkner, has begun to prepare for her own trial that will soon come. She thought it would be easy to get away with witchcraft, but it's a lot harder than she originally thought.
