A boy walks along the seashore trying to let go of an object that binds him to the past. Along the way, he witnesses other children disappear into the waves, leaving behind the objects that once defined them. Unable to save them, he begins to gather these objects and carry them with him. By helping to bear the pain of others, he finds a silent way to go on.
