Watching a rotting corpse walk around is disturbing enough. But what's even more disturbing is knowing there is an actual person still trapped in that decaying shell. Imagine the walking corpse is a loved one who still has their thoughts and emotions from before they "died." The horror it would be to suffer the fate of watching your own body decay, while the world at large reviles you and regards you as little more than a rabid animal. Would you accept it? Or would you fight back?
