After killing the Creek Society's cruel leader, Peony, Cherry and her partner Fang finally begin to believe they have a chance at peace. But over the following years, tragedy after tragedy strikes the family, leaving Cherry feeling like she's cursed. Perhaps, with the presence of a vengeful god nearby, she's not too far off. Cherry has to face the repercussions for the life she took, and she finds that the punishment she is given is far more agonizing than she could have ever imagined.
