Hansen Le'Daunte is the current incarnation of the Grim Reaper, but unlike those before him he has a virtuous goal: To liberate mankind from unjust death. After meeting with the Council of Supernatural Forces, he is given a chance to fulfill his dream, and he is sent to live among humans for a year to see if mankind is worthy of escaping premature death... or if they really are as irredeemable as Nature says.
