The RCNI-NI-AEs organization, which controlled half the world's objects, food, and products, collapsed. Mass chaos ensued, with people killing one another for food and any tradeable goods they could acquire. The story follows the character Kosi as he embarks alone on a journey after his caretaker's accidental death.
