Ryain was just like any other person— until he was cursed into a tanuki, changing his whole life, and forgetting his memories. Throughout his life, he felt alone, as he never truly understood himself, or existed. That is only up until he meets a girl he feels familiar to, and many others that were sort of like him. Ramsey, his best friend, explains to him that there's a god, who is awaking old folklore and mystical creatures, and only the legendary 1000 tailed kitsune can seal away everything.
