Kaldus is a mage that wants his life to be as questless as possible. Mages are the backbone of any good adventuring party which is a problem because the amount of magic users has been decreasing for the past century or so. Many jerkwads think magic users owe it to them to join a party and offer their services to which Kal says *cuss* off. But something happens that gets in the way of Kaldus fulfilling his goal of having a quest-LESS life and a few lovable idiots join him on the way...
