A girl wakes up in the middle of an empty, white room. The only thing in that room is the chair in which she's currently sitting with her arms chained, barefoot and without a single memory from her past. There's another girl, this one named Alice Bottom, an 18-year-old that tells us about her past and how she got to what she is today. The story tells us how the past and future of both these girls entangles in a bunch of mysteries.
