Long ago, hundreds of thousands of people worldwide disappeared without a trace within a year, and Pya’s father was one of them. Despite all the disappearances, the authorities have never actually done anything about it. Or rather, they couldn’t do anything about it. The mysterious disappearances have ceased for a long time until now.
