After her parents go abroad, Muffin Cake moves into one of her mother's friend's apartments. Now she is living with Vivian Yao, a lady who always seems insanely tired, but stays up all night on her computer. Muffin soon finds out that Vivi is a substitute teacher, and they'll see each other a lot more than originally planned.
