Held captive in a facility for most of there lives, James and Violet the "unidentified shifting creatures" that are seen as a bad omen escapes with the help of Eric and his boss goes out on a journey to get to a better place to live, but once captured again learns the truth of there existence and there purpose to fix the mistake. (this was ruination but redone for the last time, its a little better)
