How many of you guys are studying Japanese? For anyone not familiar with the language, Japanese has quite a few loan words most of which come from English. There are straightforward ones: Basu is bus, miruku is milk. But things get weird pretty quickly. Take for example the word for pram which is bebi-ka- literally baby car. The word for Buffet? Baikingu. Literally Vikings. Japan, please explain!
