Freshman high school student Vell Jeykem has never seen the city at night. Restricted by his parents, and for reasons unclear to him, he is prohibited from going out after sundown. But after his best friend Francis insisted that he join him just for one night out, Vell decides to sneak out. But that one night changed everything Vell knew about the city and himself as he meets new friends and discovers the secrets hidden within the city and beyond.
