Timothy Adams was a scientist that was actively involved with developing the atom bomb. The unfinished weapon of mass destruction tragically went off and wiped out almost everything and everyone in the lab. The radiation altered Adams’s body and allowed him to bend atoms at will. He is allowed to only control matter. He is first known as Atom Master and later on as Matter-Man.
