Mat Kilau is an epic historical action drama set in 19th-century Malaysia, during the height of British colonial rule. The film follows the life of Mat Kilau, a fierce and honourable warrior who is forced to take up arms in defence of his family, village, and homeland after British forces begin to impose oppressive taxes and policies on the Malay people.
