1840, London. Numerous young girls and women have been going missing and sometimes found dead in the most grotesque ways possible, with no explanations or clues left behind whatsoever. Some people believe a nefarious serial killer is on the loose; others believe something far more sinister is at play, especially since a very ominous legend has become popular amongst the youth. Whatever it is, Charlotte is determined to get to the bottom of it.
