At the very edge of the cosmic frontier, freighter Barb and her navigator Pihu intercept a decade old distress call. It's hard to make out, but Barb would know the sender anywhere - Tarkon, her former Captain, who perished in battle with his ship, MANTA-4. Chasing the signal into unknown territory, Barb finds out the cause of his disappearance may not be as the Intergalactic Aegis would have her believe..
