A young girl's mother walks into the ocean one day, never to return. To console his daughter, the father makes up a story in which the mother walked into the sea and discovered a beautiful underwater city to live in. The daughter knows the falsity of this story, but chooses to believe it anyways. Fifteen years later, having faced further familial struggles and a hard life, the daughter makes a last attempt to see her mother again.
