Cyad-M is a humanoid space warrior from the planet Telactus near the center of our galaxy. His race, the Meryns, initially came about as a result of genetic engineering by sages in their bid to develop extremely versatile beings who could withstand the rigors of living and working in space. After many years in the military, Cyad-M managed to land a gig working as a sentinel, guarding a fledgling planet of evolving humanoids on the outskirts of the galaxy. That planet is of course Earth.
