The crew of the luxury space ship Sovereign welcome their new captain aboard. The captain, a veteran soldier just a few years after the abrupt end of a long and brutal war against an alien race. Friction builds between the crew as the captain struggles to find his place within the ship, prejudices and more reveal themselves and disrupt what was intended as a peaceful cruise.
