After humanity is ravaged by war mysterious beast appear to take advantage of the chaos and feast on the survivors. one day four swordsman appear with blades of light carved from a tree that fell from the heavens. These four heroes alone subdued the beasts and drove them back to the shadows. Now all those heroes are a distant memory, and the beasts have once again emerged from the depths of darkness.
