Preface Little Red Riding Hijab is a modern re-telling of a very well-known story, Little Red Riding Hood. Told over many generations, perhaps originating in Europe in the 10th century, it is a story that has been adapted in different cultures and in different times. In Arabic cultures it is known as the story of Laila and The Wolf.
