In Aether, a world of animals, giant crows threaten peace, and great wizards lead a war to stop them. Haru, a gatherer who secretly dreams of becoming a wizard, encounters Mia after a crow crashes near him. She retreats, but later Haru finds her captured in a temple. He rescues her, becoming a traitor. As Haru learns the truth about the crows, his view of the war changes. With Mia, he begins a journey that may change Aether’s fate.
