Lie. Pain. Repeat. There is no worse pain than being lied to, and 16 year old Tashio Rodgers knows this feeling like the back of his hand. For every lie near Tashio, the scar on his back shoots out pain, becoming ever more unbearable as time passes. Now, Tashio's only wish is to join Mainland's infamous police force, the Patrol, with the hope of finding his missing father: the only man who knows the wrongs of their country and the severity of his curse.
