Lelia, a shy 15-year-old, is thrust into a world of danger when her mom buys her a bunny plushie named Dakota. Dakota isn’t just a toy—she’s alive and on the run from shadowy creatures known as the “shadow people” who hunt and devour beings like her. These creatures only appear at night and in dark places. With her only friend, Hannah, Lelia must find the courage to protect Dakota and help her destroy the shadow people before it’s too late.
