A blind boy is marooned on an alien world outside the bounds of time and space. When a strange creature finds him and takes him to her cave, he wonders if he is on the menu. Through trial and error in attempting to communicate with the beast, is there a form of understanding between the two species, or was extraterrestrial communication never meant to be?
