A North American fan of Japanese animation lives in a desolate world. His country is in ruins after a cataclysmic event occurred during his youth, causing much pain and suffering across the planet. Stranger still, monstrous beasts began cropping up and causing even more despair on what remains of the human population. Some run from these beasts, but others choose to slay them. For a fee, of course. We join a man known simply as Kodiak as he traverses perils never before suffered by mankind.
