There's an allegory thing about how if a frog is put into boiling water it'll immediately jump out and survive, but if it's in the water while its heated up to a boil, the frog won't notice and end up getting cooked. The moral of the story is it's easy to put up with stuff if you're used to it, or it's a slow change, but you gotta know when to jump out of the pot or you'll get cooked.
